Dear Juno,
I think that what you chose to do after becoming pregnant was the best choice for you. You originally thought of having an abortion, but you couldn’t go through with it. And i’m sure that is how it is for many women who become pregnant and think of having an abortion. I think that it was very smart of you to analyze all your options. You looked into abortion, keeping the baby, and lastly adoption. And I believe you made the best choice for you. You went through the whole pregnancy, including your step-mothers healthy diet, the constant criticism and dirty looks from your peers, and getting big, all so that you can bless an infertile woman with the gift of life. What you did was very brave. You knew that the pregnancy would be a challenge in many aspects, but you still decided to go through with it. But I also think that the choice you made is not always the right choice for everyone. I think it all depends on the current situation the person is in. For some, abortion or adoption might be the best option. Or, some might decide to have the baby and raise it with help from their parents, and I would hope the father of the child. For you, adoption was the best choice. You get to continue your teenage life and finish high school, possibly go to college, or travel, without having to take care of a baby. I honor you for your bravery and maturity through the whole pregnancy.
Sincerely,
Blake Talaugon
